Steel pipes anticorrosive coating “Мonolayer,  2-3 layer polymeric”:

polymeric primer ― for 3 layer coating;
hot-melt polymeric adhesive:

-2 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 02” applied for 2 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

-3 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 03” applied for 3 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

-2-3 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 06-Y” applied for 2- 3 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

protective layer based upon extruded polyethylene
― 2-3 layer coatings are widely used as pipeline construction for conveyance of natural gas, oil, water and other flammable & nonflammable liquids conveyance and distribution, water supply systems (high temperature water as well), sewages in accordance with:
AWWA C215, EN ISO 21809-1, EN ISO 21809-4, DIN 30670 (UNI 9099), CSA Z 245-20, CSA Z 245-21, TS 5139, NF A 49-71

Anticorrosive pipes coating”2-layer, polymeric”:

  •  hot-melt adhesive sublayer;
  •  protective coating based upon extruded polyethylene;

Insulation is compatible with such coatings based upon heat-shrinkable tapes, polyuretan, silicone and epoxy enamels, polymeric materials. .

COATING APPLICATION  ON STEEL PIPE WITH EXTRUDED POLYETHYLENE.

TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS – COATING APPLICATION CONSISTS FROM THE FOLOWING OPERATIONS:

1. Surface preparation.

Work assignment ―mechanical cleaning of external pipes surface from impurities, rust, oxides, scales etc. This method converts steel surface to some degree of roughness, ensuring tough meshing of coating with steel.  Surface finishing is complied with  values Sa21/2 of Shwedish required standard SIS 0555900 and SP-10 USA required standard SSPC-SP-1.

2. Modification of pipes surface.

Work assignment ― external steel surface treament with chromate solution for making proper adhesion of coating.

3. Induction heating.

Work assignment ―keeping reqiured range of temperature for further coating application

4. Primer application (3-layer coating).

The first layer of the primer is applied on heated steal by a method of pneumo-electrostatic evaporation. Minimum primer thickness is 50-70 mkm.

5 А. Application of adhesive and protective layers.

Work assignment:

  • adhesive layer is applied for fixation of steel pipe with polyethylene protective coating.

-2 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 02” applied for 2 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

-3 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 03” applied for 3 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

-2-3 layer coating -modificated polymeric composition “Aklen 06-Y” applied for 2- 3 layer anticorrosive steel pipes coatings under factory or basic conditions;

primary(protective) layer -ensures protection from corrosion etc.

Adhesive and protective layers are applied by the method of consequantal crosshead coextrusion of melted  fusions of adhesive and polyethylene by their fixation to heated steel pipe surface by means of forvacuum inside extrusion head.

5B. Monolayer application.

“Tsentr Truboisolyatsiya” LLC got accepted into production monolayer innovative anticorrosive coating for steel pipes in 2017. The prodct is based upon nanomodificated polymer. The product got certification UkrCepro.

6. Water cooling of  fresh coated surface.

Work assignment ―enables coating formation, which gives possibility for further pipes transportation.

7. Cleaning of excessive coating at the ends of the pipe.

Work assignment ―cleaning of excessive coating and pipes bevel formation at the ends of the pipes for further pre-commissioning.
